Mr kole man did amazing with his surgery. It was fast, easy and we are so happy and lucky it's done and overwith! He is a little groggy and might have a little pain but overall he is doing awesome!! :-) thanks for everybody's thoughts and prayers! No more goober eye for Kole!!!!
Big happy birthdays to Papa George and Courtney. We love you both!!!! Here we go...We are getting closer...we are in the single digits until our closing date of our house. Now, alot of people wondered why we didnt talk about this house - or why all of a sudden now we are springing the news last minute. Ill tell you why. After 9 months of searching and loosing 8 offers...we decided to keep our lips sealed because it was just too much. Maybe talking about all of the exciting houses we found were jinxing us? Clearly we know that wasnt the case, but we did it anyways. So now...that we are 9 days..OMG..away...we feel like we can finally start getting excited!!! Now dont get me wrong - I know things can happen still, but I feel confident and truly believe now - EVERYTHING happens for a reason. So here is to the next 9 days!!!!! Of wishing..hoping..getting excited and PACKING!!!!!
Last week we went to Disney for a night with the Scalici family. Honestly, best trip ever. I kept thinking to myself..how can one family be so freaking easy to go away with? It was fun..relaxing..and we just had the best time. We were virgins of Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween. I will NEVER miss it again. Best time ever!!!! They passed out candy, everything was decorated to the T and the party lasted until 12 am complete with a dance party with characters. J and K loved every minute of it!!! Cant wait for Very Merry Christmas This weekend I was in New Jersey with my mom. It was a VERY fast trip but so much fun. It was...now stay with me...My moms best friends daughters wedding. The wedding was INCREDIBLE. No words can explain it - hopefully Ill steal some pictures from the bride and post them. It was fun seeing my mom with all of her high school bffs and really cool to think they are still friends. All i kept thinking about was one day...J is going to get married and my friends will be there to watch it. But lets not get that far yet!!!! Oh...and did i mention we were FREEZING. The wedding was outdoors and it got down to 54 that night. This florida girl was NOT prepared for that!!! We have a busy week ahead. Right now the kiddies are sick..so im laying low today. Tomorrow we are meeting a bunch of workers at the new house, Thursday is Kole's eye surgey and Papa George's birthday and this weekend is packed to the max too! Dance class, NYN picnic and the JETS/DOLHPINS game - woohoo!!! So onto these cookies. When I came home from a weekend away...i totally thought i would come home to a messy house and kids in mis matched clothes. But once again...my husband surprises me again and again. He's the best daddy in the world, but i totally figured he would take advantage of me being gone and let the kids be messy and trash the place! No. Of course I came home to a spic and span house, the kids in matching outfits, dinner being made and freshly baked muffins and cookies. NO JOKE. I swear he's just the bomb. So...these cookies. We have had this book called "The Great American Cookie Cookbook" in our cabinet for many years now. Not sure if we ever have even opened it. Well Todd did. Without making you drool by explaining how GOOD they are...ill just leave you with the recipe... { todd twirked it a little so ill write that in there too}. ENJOY!!! He didnt use crunchy PB { he used half regular half all natural } and of course because these cookies were for me - he left out the cup of coconut { ugh..GROSS!!! } and he used chopped walnuts instead of peanuts.....Now, I said they were delicious...what I didnt say is that they were good for you ;) Update : Todd just corrected me....he also added raisins and a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Okay im now starting to realize these cookies need a new name because they are obviously now re-invented by him. Copyright : Todd Fowler. Haha :) That's literally what I have been telling myself lately. Somedays I wonder if ill ever get the feeling back of just plopping on my couch and not doing a damn thing....
I dont know who im kidding. I love being this busy - love everything that comes along with it. Birthday parties on the weekends, mommy and me and playdate filled weeks and family time. Couldnt be better. So where have we been? Lets see. Have we talked about Disney? Shocking. We went again...i know. But this time it was an extra special trip!! My dad tagged along. For as LONG as I can remember he was always saying how bad he wanted to go to Disney with the kids. My sweet husband is the one who surprised me with it. Called my dad himself, planned it and everything. It was such a great time. We stayed at a new Disney resort - hit all of the parks, and made lots of new memories! So now I can say we have done disney with all of the grandparents. How awesome is that!!! Last weekend I went to Maryland to go visit Blair. I had been looking forward to this trip since the day Todd surprised me with it. ( hes quite the hubby huh! ). It was AMAZING. We went to see Jason Mraz which was incredible of course. My trip was cut short due to the stupid tropical storm that was hitting, so I had to come home after 36 hours. But honestly, 36 hours was better than nothing. I was so happy just to see her and spend time there. I love her new life and cant wait to see what else it has in store for her. Hopefully she will be down here soon because I know J is really missing her favorite girl! Life besides that has just been go - go - go. After 8 months, I think we can officially ( fingers still crossed ) say we are M-O-V-I-N-G!!!! We have a tentative closing date of September 27. Now, I know a billion things can happen or go wrong, but im thinking POSITIVE!!! I will give more details about the new house when the keys are in our hands and we are diving into the pool in the backyard!!!! Jordyn turned 3 - which we knew, and has honestly been blowing my mind lately. She now spells a few words ( Mom, Dad, Kole, Amy ), has not wore a pull up in almost 2 months and her character just is out of this world. She is a TRIP to say the least. Love this girl. Kole is growing up faster then I can type - and thats damn fast! He woke up THIS MORNING with his first tooth, is now STANDING straight up and is most likely going to take his first steps any day now. I just cant believe how fast time is flying. He is the sweetest baby is the entire world. Eats like a monster, is 22 pounds, DADA is his favorite word and BARELY cries. I cant picture this life without him. So tomorrow is Labor Day. We had a weekend full of birthday parties ( Madi, Maddox and Aunt Cindy! ). Kole has been sleeping since 7, Jordyn is watching a movie on the Ipad, Daddy is playing his new video game and I decided updating this site was more important than sitting on pinterest.....which I would usually chose in my downtime :) Tomorrow instead of laying by the pool and throwing back some beers, we will be taking huge trash bags to this house, getting rid of junk and clutter and we are going to start the beginning of the packing process. Woah! That sounds crazy. Love to you all. Happy Labor Day! |
