I LOVE rainy days! Being a stay at home mama - I can really do this stuff any day, and alot of the times I do, but there is something about rainy days that force you, in a good way, to stay home and make the most out of them! No errands to run, you dont feel bad skipping the park and its perfectly okay to stay in pajamas all day! So here is a small glimpse at mine and J's rainy day today :) We have breakfast on the couch! Waffles, Pancakes, Fruit and of course, Chocolate Milk :) We bake muffins...( and watch them bake! )We get really excited when we pee pee on the pottyAnd after laundry, cleaning, coloring, painting, puzzles, lunch in the tent..it was time to relax ( with a piece of string cheese of course ), watch Toy Story and get ready for nap time!We had another great weekend - too great that is, come Sunday Mommy was almost dead! On Thursday, Our best friend Stacey turned the big 28!!! Happy Happy Birthday to HER!!! Friday, Jordyn, myself, Blair and Stacey had a girls day at the pool. It was a little bit cloudy but much needed and fun to say the least - AND, even with the clouds we all ended up a little bit sun kissed!!! Jordyn swam like a little champ too :) That night Food trucks and free live music came to Atlantic Ave! We went with quite the crowd and had a blast. Food truck food, dancing in the grass, lots of great friends and finishing off with ice cream - OF COURSE! Saturday we took Jordyn to the fall festival at Benders Farm. We got there at 10:00 am and there were MILE long cars waiting down the road! It was so cute. They had everything you can think of. Corn maze, live music, vendor, pumpkin patch, hay rides - all of the things all of the "northerners" swear we dont have down here. We spent about 2 hours just walking around and enjoying the beautiful breezy weather! Saturday night we went to Mai Kai for Staceys surprise birthday!!! Ricky did such a great job planning the entire thing and it was perfect!! It really was the perfect birthday! Stacey is at such a good place in her life and I couldnt be happier for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) 28 year old! Where is time going?? Werent we just drinking captain morgan in the car driving to Club Boca? ( Sorry mom!!! lol ) Sunday came and even though I was tired as ANYTHING I made it to girls day at Staceys house :) We enjoyed yummy food and a girly movie. A day everybody needs every once in a while! Monday came pretty fast but I have no complaints! 2 great baby dr appts today! Kole is just over 6 pounds and we are 4 weeks away from meeting him!!! Can. You. Even. Believe. That?!? Oh - and one more thing before I go. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because of the amount of SCREAMING that has taken place the past few nights. HAPPY screaming - Jordyn is pee-peeing on the POTTY!!!! It's just the beginning and we have a ways to go - but Im so proud of our little girl. It's by far the cutest thing how excited she gets. She screams I did it, Todd and I clap and yell like we literally won the lottery and it's just a time of endless happiness! I think she also likes the lolipops :) :)
Marriages and relationships have there ups and downs. Todd and I bicker, but rarely fight, fight, and laugh to make up in 2.5 seconds, can't be in the same room if we disagree yet some of the time are finishing each others sentences. But my point is - as i was sitting here today - going through old & new pictures on my computer - I have come to realize one thing. I think he's gorgeous, nice, sexy ( oolala ), smart, funny and all of the above you could say about a person - but one thing I have to say - Is I hands down married the most THOUGHTFUL man in the world. The random stuff he does for me "just because", the endless surprises and the way he blows my mind every single holiday or just a random day - I just wanted to say thank you Todd. Thank you for being that thoughtful and thank you for ALWAYS putting me ( and Jordyn ) before you. It's something I cherish about you every single day and after all of these years, you are still doing those little things that just take my breath away. Your mama must have raised you right!!!! ;) I Love You!!!!!!!
And I also love the fact I finally found some time to catch everybody up on whats been going on! It's been a while since I have been able to blog.
We have had a lovely lovely weekend so far. Friday night Todd J and I and some of our friends, went to Mizner for the night. We had Mexican food, ice cream and enjoyed the beautiful breezy weather! Saturday we dedicated the day to the letter "K"- for Kole of course :) We finished alot of last minute stuff that we needed for him - and did a ton of errands and shopping! Had lunch with mama and papa, and then enjoyed pizza and video games ( Phineas and Ferb for Jordyn of course ) and movie night at home. Today turned out to be one of those days I just love. Spent the morning at A Latte Fun, Shopping at Target, and made it home just in time for our 1:00 football games. Now im relaxing and starting on my thank you cards! It's only been a week since the shower but the long list is giving me aixiety so im doing a little bit at a time :) Everything baby-wise has been going really smooth. Im feeling really good, we feel very prepared and Jordyn is SO beyond excited ( its so so cute to hear her talk about it )!! I just cant believe November 16th is right around the corner. Koles shower turned out amazing. The weather was perfect, the company was the best and we just felt so lucky to be surrounded by all the people that are so excited to meet him as much as we are. The theme was "Ahoy its a boy" and everything came together so awesome. I will be sure to blog some pictures from the shower too. It was at the Fowler House and like always, our parents played such a huge role in it and we are so thankful for that. A few weeks ago we took our trip to GA to visit Mama and Papa. It was a perfect trip. The weather was UNbelieveable and it was just so nice to spend quality time with family. We really didnt do much, which was the nicest part. We sat on the porch daily, played cards, drank some wine, and had dinner together every night. I also got to meet some of the family I had never met before. Linda's brother, Shawn and his family, and Colleens husband Jim. It was so nice to see everybody that we havent seen in a long time also. Im so happy we took that trip and even though we wished Jordyn was there - it was so nice to get away, and spend quality time with Papa ourselves. We are still praying for him daily and can only wish for the best. We missed our blog post for the day so I want to wish a Happy belated Birtday to Aunt Cheryl :) If I wasnt so crazy busy I would have been on here to give you that special shout out! I hope it was a great day!!!! Well that seems to be about it for now. Things are great, we are just spending as much time with Jordyn as possible ( as always, but I guess i should say we have been "spoiling her more" ) because of our -not the only baby anymore guilt-. But hey, im not complaining, its been alot of fun things, ice cream dates and movies in bed with her - I love this age :) |
